Senator Robinhood Padilla stated that the proposed Medical Cannabis Bill includes several procedures that must be followed before the medicine can be legally sold in the market.
Defending Senate Bill No. 2583, also known as the Cannabis Medicalization Act of the Philippines, Wednesday, February 5, 2025, Padilla emphasized that these stringent steps are designed to prevent the drug’s misuse for recreational purposes.
However, Padilla assured that he remains open to amendments from his colleagues to further improve the measure.
