For a time, I kept telling myself I may not want to go back to designing again, that maybe it really isn't for me. And while I was having obsessive thoughts about quitting, someone out there had been telling herself that she wanted me to make her wedding gown, long before she got engaged. She wasnt so sure when that will happen, but she was sure to ask me when that day comes.

She got in touch with me at a time when I felt I was being called back to have courage to make again. The timing was perfect. And for her, the gown was perfect too! ✨

She wanted her favorite shade incorporated into the design - a terracota/ burnt orange detail, so I gave her that on top of a n**e and ivory gown base, mixing it with dull peach and dark taupe tones to balance the details out. It was a collaboration but she completely trusted me with everything else. She was happy, and so was i. 🎉

Thank you for letting me dress you on your dream day, Ken! 😊 You glowed beautifully! Im grateful for this chance to be able to create again. And I’m happy it was for you. Wishing you and Ryan a great life ahead. Congratulations to the both of you! my fitting room misses you already. If only those walls could talk haha!

During final fitting, I always ask the bride to take a moment. Some would happy cry, some would happy dance, some would do quarter turns appreciating the illusion and body silhouette I created for them (either the curves they wanna get rid of or the ones they want to have - butt, arms, waistline, hips, and what not), some would practice walking, some would sit down and imagine they're already at the reception - eating, some would just stand in front of the mirror and smile while imagining the church door that's about to open, while others would tell me stories about how she and the groom met.

I get to witness all of these very personal and private moments and it is in these things that I also get to appreciate the work of my hands and the hustle and discipline that comes with it. And it makes me very grateful for the trust and confidence that these beautiful souls gave me. I never thought I’d be designing again after almost 3 yrs of being "gone". loving me back in the years ahead 🤍 😊✨

Get and help me help the world a little at a time by purchasing my works. 10% of each piece that will get sold shall be given to the babies of the Saint Rita Orphanage for their milk and rice. I want to live my Mom's legacy by doing this until I am no longer able to design and make clothes. There is a reason why we are gifted with creativity and skill. Life is short, let us share it with others.
