Is the Philippines’ Sewing Industry on the Verge of Collapse? 🤔
Watch this video to know more about how the pandemic affected our local seamstresses and our advocacy to help them. 😱
---------------------------------------
Because of the pandemic, many of our local seamstresses lost their jobs and income that used to help them to provide for their families.
Here at Obra Maestra, we are always finding ways to help our local communities and be a bridge between our customers and laborers. 🤝
Our goal is to redefine the upcycling business ♻️ here in the Philippines not just by providing sustainable and fashionable clothing to our customers 👕, but also by empowering our local seamstresses to showcase their passion and talent for sewing to a wider audience 🪡🧵.
Each piece is carefully handcrafted by our local seamstresses where they use dead-stock fabrics and transform it into a new spectacular work of art. 🎨💕
