Sharing with you a post based on Philippine Society of Public Health and Occupational Optometry's (PSPHOO) eye health promotion campaign:
"The global adaptive measures to limit the spread of the coronavirus seem to largely depend on the function of the eyes. We are experiencing the massive relocation of our physical world to a virtual one. Sadly, nobody is talking about how to protect the eyes."
"Today we are so much about online schooling, webinars, work from home, online religious activities, etc. Will there be a consequence eventually?"
"O yes, there will be an increase in the prevalence of digital eye strain, a group of eye and vision-related problems resulting from prolonged viewing of digital screens. Some of which includes, brow aches, heaviness of the eyes, redness, tearing, Headaches, blurred vision, dry eyes"
"More children will develop myopia as a result of prolonged near work and there will be more cases of macular degeneration resulting from the excessive exposure to blue light."
