📖 Matthew 28:1–10
Holy Saturday is a quiet day,
a space between sorrow and victory.
After the pain of Good Friday, the world seemed still.
Jesus had been laid in the tomb, and hope felt distant.
On the Saturday of Holy Week, Jesus’ body rested in the tomb a rich man’s tomb fulfilling the prophecy in Isaiah 53:9.
But the story did not end there.
At dawn, everything changed.
In Matthew 28:1–10, the tomb was found empty.
The stone was rolled away not to let Jesus out, but to show the world that He is no longer there.
“He is not here; He has risen.”
What once felt like defeat became the greatest victory.
Death was overcome. Sin was defeated.
And hope was restored for all humanity.
Holy Saturday reminds us that even in the silence,
𝙂𝙤𝙙 𝙞𝙨 𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙡𝙡 𝙬𝙤𝙧𝙠𝙞𝙣𝙜.
𝙀𝙫𝙚𝙣 𝙬𝙝𝙚𝙣 𝙬𝙚 𝙙𝙤𝙣’𝙩 𝙨𝙚𝙚 𝙞𝙩,
𝙃𝙚 𝙞𝙨 𝙥𝙧𝙚𝙥𝙖𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙨𝙤𝙢𝙚𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙜𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙧.
And the resurrection is the promise we hold on to that no matter how dark the situation is, there is always hope in Jesus.
