Did you know the Jama Mapun people have a weaving tradition like no other? While most weavers start at the edges, Jama Mapun artisans begin right at the center line, working their way down to craft these striking, intricate patterns. Every strip comes from natural pandan (Pandanus tectorius or screw pine) that is carefully boiled, hand-dyed, and woven with incredible precision.
