⚠️ SCAM AWARENESS POST ⚠️
FB Account : Nelson Diolester
We’d like to share this incident to help prevent others from becoming victims.
Someone contacted us pretending to be interested in purchasing one of our pairs. Without our knowledge, that person used our listing photos and details to pose as the seller to another buyer.
The buyer then booked a Lalamove to our location, which immediately confused us because we had never confirmed a sale. That’s when we realized someone was using our listing to scam another buyer.
Unfortunately, the buyer had already sent ₱6,000 before realizing it was a scam. After receiving the payment, the scammer blocked the buyer. When we tried to contact the person we were speaking with, we were blocked as well.
We are not certain whether the name and profile photo used by the scammer actually belong to that person. It’s possible that the scammer was also using someone else’s identity. We don’t want to falsely accuse anyone, so please don’t harass or blame any individual based only on the profile that was used.
We also want to clarify that the Lalamove driver appears to have been caught in the middle of the situation and should not be assumed to be involved without evidence.
We have screenshots of our conversations and other evidence regarding what happened.
Please stay vigilant:
* Never send payment without verifying the seller.
* Ask for updated proof of ownership and identity.
* Transact only through verified or official accounts.
* Call the driver and seller, much better if video call for proof.
Stay safe, everyone, and be aware of this kind of scam.
