He learned his tools of the trade from The Fashion Institute of the Philippines- Ortigas where he developed his style of maximalist designs which display whimsicality and elegance with an avant-garde undertones. He is an advocate for the growth of Filipino culture especially through design and use of indigenous fabrics. AJ’s designs have been worn by known societal figures and also had been featured in various fashion websites, magazines and newspapers.
