“There is an appointed time for everything. And there is a time for every event in heaven..”
Ecclesiastes 3:1
Love is said to manifest in many forms. The giggles of children in homes.
The smell of someone’s hair. The presence of a friend in your lowest of lows. The voice of someone dear to you.
Love can be seen through these because the unhurried time reveals such.
The creation in Genesis took six days instead of one. God could have made it fast and instant because He can, but He took His time intricately woving all things together just like us in our mother’s womb.
Why is the Lord still not coming back? Jesus could have been here years ago or even today because of how sinful the world has become, but He is patient with us, not wanting anyone to perish, but to come to repentance (2 Pet. 3:9).
Love can be seen through these, because He loves us.
He is love.
If we are always in a hurry, always rushing, will we see the beauty of His love that comes right before our eyes?
To God, time is a friend. And just like Him, it is always for us and never against us.
May we see the beauty of choosing the patient speed of God in all things. For if He keeps us waiting, it is not because He wants us to suffer but for us to be transformed by His love. So that in each day of waiting and of hoping, we will taste and see His goodness and His faithfulness. He is intimately preparing things for His children because He loves us in the most intimate way.
His best is always worth waiting for.
And He has made everything beautiful,
In His perfect time.
