Please forgive me for my absence πŸ™ˆ Lately I've been a mess and scatteredπŸ˜΅β€πŸ’«
So I've taken some time to do a couple pattern tests for couple other designers, here's the latest 🧑
I really love the color combo of this one!

23/04/2024

If you could see behind the scenes of the making of this design it was a mess! πŸ¦‹πŸ˜† Making this pattern was like crawling into a caccoon to stay sane from the chaos unfolding around me.

Originally I didn't have any plans on making this Butterfly Harness into a Bikini, but once it was done and figured out it seemed to be the obvious thing to do. So here we are ❀

The pattern is still a work in progress but the Butterfly Harness already out and available for anyone who wants to start their Butterfly right NOW.

Next month we'll update the pattern with the Bikini Butterfly addition and up the price. So you can grab the pattern now and still get access to the update without additional charges! 😊

Just comment "Butterfly" or "πŸ¦‹" and I'll send you a DM or check my website 😘

What did you make for Summer? β˜€οΈ

Exciting news! TESTER CALL for the Odessa top! πŸ’š

If you've never tested a pattern before but are trying to get into the testing game, welcome! 🫢
I'm looking for testers of All Sizes and Skill-Levels πŸ’
The Testing period is 2 weeks, 3rd week we'll have a Pattern Giveaway and the ReleaseπŸ’•
There are NO LATE FEES or PENALTIES. πŸ’’

This Test will allow new testers to have the chance to learn and understand a little more about the testing process and the behind the scenes to releasing a new crochet design. πŸ’—
This test will also allow both me and the testers the opportunity to meet other fellow crafters and extend our "reach" in the crochet community. πŸ₯°

Communication is key β˜€οΈ I want to hear your honest opinions and feedback on the pattern. This gives me a different perspective and let's me know how I can improve the pattern for everyone.

Odessa is a quick make, so 2 weeks should be more than enough time to complete the project 😊 However if something unexpected or unfortunate were to happen during the testing, please let me know so we can adjust.

You'll need :
3mm hook
sports weight yarn
Measuring tape
Cutters

And if you want to add beads feel free to do so! πŸ₯°

More info on the pattern test will be in the application, there you will find the requirements 🀍

If you want to apply to test Odessa, comment "TEST" πŸƒand I'll send you the application. 😘

Introducing Odessa πŸ’š During my short break from the Butterfly Harness and Bikini project, I found solace and inspiration in creating Odessa. 🌊

This charming design brought back the joy and passion I have for crochet, so much so that I've nearly finished a pattern for it! πŸ˜†

It's so comfortable and secure that this is the second day in a row I'm wearing this top since finishing it... πŸ˜…πŸ˜† It's also perfect for keeping cool in hot weather like we have here in the Philippines πŸŒ΄β˜€οΈ so can you blame me? πŸ™ˆ

Save and share this post if you think I should have a tester call for this pattern ❀

Thank you again ❀ I understand a lot of those who followed me are waiting for the official release of the Butterfly Harness, which will also include this Butterfly Bikini. And I just wanted to thank you all again and apologize for the long wait, I really do appreciate your patience πŸ™πŸ’•

I had to step away from pattern writing for a little while, but don't worry, I'll be back soon! πŸ’“ I'll try if I can to do a little everyday if possible as well. πŸ¦‹

A while back I made a poll on my stories for what colors I should make the next butterfly bikini πŸ¦‹ and we ended up with a tie between the chosen colors πŸ™ˆ could you help me pick a combination please? πŸ˜†

Save this post for later! ❀ Here's a little tip I use to take photos of my crochet! This technique is perfect for when the weather outside is cold and you want to stay inside where its warm while still getting quality pics of your crochet projects!

Natural indirect light is always best in my experience 🌞 I like to find or create a clean background near a window and turn my body at an angle towards the window to catch the light.
This allows for soft shadows while avoiding overexposure that might have washed out some of the details or created harsh and possibly distracting shadows.

If you have a softer aesthetic then this is the ideal lighting you'll want to use. πŸ₯°

You can always brighten up the shadows later when editing and play around with colors, contrast and more after. 🌈 😊

Do find this tip helpful? Save it for later and let me know what you would like to see next! 😘❀

Tips I Use To Enhance My Crochet Photos! How to Frame and Crop Your Photos with a Purpose 🧑

First ask yourself: What is the main focus of this photo?

For example, is it the clothing, or a jewelry accessory? Or maybe you want to bring focus to a specific characteristic of your crochet piece...

This is How I Frame My Photos:

1.) CROP TO ENHANCE
Place the crochet top in the center of the frame to make it the main focus and zoom in to enhance the details and textures of the crochet top.

Crop out the face and majority of the background to reduce distractions and give more attention to the main focus- the crochet top and the details.

Try to always include the hands when you zoom up close, you can also use them to further direct the attention of your viewers.

2.) USE THE RULE OF THIRDS
Create a balanced composition by placing the subject off-center along the lines that divide the frame into thirds.

Notice how I place one of the shoulders in the top corner of the center square of the grid.

This is one of the points I use to divide my frame when the main focus is what the subject is wearing, while the head occupies the top square. But make sure to leave some space above the head! Otherwise it feels claustrophobic.

3.) USE YOUR HANDS
Use your fingers to guide the eyes of your viewers. This especially helps when you don't know what to do with your hands and give a sense of "feel" to your photos.

Use your hands to "frame" and bring attention to your crochet top by placing a hand on your hip or slight tug of the hem, and another hand on your chest or at the strap.

Or try to gently extend your middle fingers and lightly touch or graze the edge of your crochet top using your fingertips.

SAVE this post for later! And tell me what you think about these tips!😊 I'd love to hear your thoughts! πŸ’•
