PRO3 ALL SET FOR SCHOOL OPENING; OVER 3,500 PERSONNEL TO SECURE LEARNERS ACROSS CENTRAL LUZON

Camp Olivas, City of San Fernando, Pampanga — Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) is fully prepared for the opening of classes on June 8, 2026, with the deployment of 3,537 personnel across Central Luzon under Oplan Balik-Eskwela 2026, ensuring the safety and security of students, teachers, and school personnel.

Based on the region's deployment plan, PRO3 will secure 4,376 public and private schools through a combination of Police Assistance Desks (PADs), mobile patrols, foot patrols, and force multipliers strategically positioned in key areas.

A total of 1,911 PNP personnel will be deployed, complemented by 299 personnel from other government agencies and 1,327 force multipliers, demonstrating a whole-of-community approach to school safety. The region has also established 279 Police Assistance Desks and will field 777 mobile patrols and 517 foot patrol teams to ensure police visibility and immediate response to incidents.

PRO3 Director PBGEN Jess B Mendez assured the public that all units have been directed to maintain maximum visibility and responsiveness throughout the school opening period.

"As classes resume, our police officers will be where they are needed most—along school routes, near transport hubs, and in communities—to ensure the safety of our learners and the peace of mind of parents and teachers. This deployment reflects our commitment to delivering Serbisyong Mabilis, Tapat, at Nararamdaman and supports the PNP Focused Agenda of our Chief, PNP, PGEN Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., particularly in enhancing public safety and strengthening community partnerships," PBGEN Mendez said.

The Regional Director also emphasized the importance of close coordination with local government units, school authorities, and force multipliers to ensure a safe, orderly, and successful opening of classes throughout Central Luzon.

With all preparations in place, PRO3 remains committed to providing a secure environment where students can learn, teachers can teach, and communities can thrive as another school year begins.

TWO HIGH-VALUE DRUG SUSPECTS FALL IN PRO3 OPS; P2.7-M SHABU SEIZED IN PAMPANGA, NUEVA ECIJA

Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) scored another significant victory in its intensified anti-illegal drug campaign following the arrest of two High-Value Individuals (HVIs) and the confiscation of more than 410 grams of suspected shabu worth approximately ₱2.79 million in separate buy-bust operations in Pampanga and Nueva Ecija.

In the latest operation, operatives of the Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit 3 (RPDEU3) and Regional Special Operations Group 3 (RSOG3), with support from the San Fernando City Police Station and in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Region 3, arrested a 45-year-old man, listed as High-Value Individual, during a buy-bust operation in Brgy. San Jose, City of San Fernando, Pampanga on June 1, 2026.

Confiscated from the suspect were around 350 grams of suspected shabu with a standard drug price (SDP) of ₱2.38 million, along with buy-bust money, a cellular phone, and other non-drug evidence.

Meanwhile, in Nueva Ecija, operatives of the Talavera Municipal Police Station arrested another High-Value Individual during a buy-bust operation in Brgy. San Miguel na Munti, Talavera on May 31, 2026.

The operation resulted in the seizure of about 60 grams of suspected shabu valued at ₱408,000 and the arrest of a 30-year-old delivery rider from Pasig City.

PRO3 Regional Director PBGEN Jess B. Mendez commended the operating units for the successful operations and reiterated the organization’s firm resolve against illegal drugs.

"The arrest of these High-Value Individuals and the substantial volume of illegal drugs removed from circulation reflect the effectiveness of our intelligence-driven operations and the dedication of our personnel on the ground. We will continue to pursue drug personalities relentlessly and strengthen our efforts to protect our communities from the harmful effects of illegal drugs," PBGEN Mendez said.

He added that PRO3 remains steadfast in supporting the anti-illegal drug campaign of the Philippine National Police through proactive, people-centered, and professional policing anchored on the PNP Focused Agenda.

The twin operations underscore PRO3’s sustained commitment to keeping Central Luzon safe through aggressive law enforcement efforts and the delivery of “Serbisyong Mabilis, Tapat, at Nararamdaman.”
