PNP STATEMENT ON THE DOJ DIRECTIVE TO EFFECT THE ARREST OF SENATOR RONALD “BATO” DELA ROSA

The Philippine National Police (PNP) takes note of the directive issued by the Department of Justice (DOJ) directing the Philippine National Police (PNP) and the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) to effect the warrant of arrest against Senator Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa.

The PNP respects the processes of the justice system and recognizes the authority of competent government agencies in the implementation of lawful orders.

As a law enforcement agency, the PNP shall perform its mandate in accordance with existing laws, due process, and established operational procedures.

The PNP likewise assures the public that all actions undertaken shall remain impartial, professional, and within the bounds of the law, with full respect for the constitutional rights of all parties concerned.

𝑷𝑹𝑶 𝑴𝑰𝑴𝑨𝑹𝑶𝑷𝑨 𝑵𝒆𝒕𝒔 44 𝑾𝒂𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒅 𝑷𝒆𝒓𝒔𝒐𝒏𝒔 𝒊𝒏 10-𝑫𝒂𝒚 𝑴𝒂𝒏𝒉𝒖𝒏𝒕 𝑫𝒓𝒊𝒗𝒆

CALAPAN CITY, Oriental Mindoro — Since the assumption of PBGEN Christopher Ramos Dela Cruz as Acting Regional Director of the Police Regional Office MIMAROPA (PRO MIMAROPA) on May 8, 2026, sustained and intensified manhunt operations across the region have resulted in the arrest and voluntary surrender of 44 wanted persons in just 10 days, underscoring the organization’s strengthened operational drive against fugitives and wanted persons.

Based on consolidated data from the Regional Investigation and Detective Management Division (RIDMD), coordinated law enforcement operations conducted from May 8 to 18, 2026 led to the arrest of 20 Most Wanted Persons (MWPs) and 24 Other Wanted Persons (OWPs), reflecting PRO MIMAROPA’s continuing intensified campaign against wanted persons throughout the region.

Among the most recent accomplishments during the period was the voluntary surrender of the Rank No. 1 Most Wanted Person at the provincial level before the San Jose Municipal Police Station in Occidental Mindoro on May 18, 2026.

The accused voluntarily surrendered by virtue of warrants of arrest for five counts of falsification of public documents docketed under Criminal Case Nos. MTC13862, MTC13863, MTC13864, MTC13865, and MTC13866, with recommended bail amounting to ₱36,000 each.

The successful operations underscored PRO MIMAROPA’s sustained operational tempo, strengthened inter-unit coordination, and intensified campaign against wanted persons throughout the region under the “F.I.G.H.T. C.R.I.M.E.S.” leadership and operational framework.

“I commend our operating units for their sustained efforts, coordination, and relentless manhunt operations that led to the arrest and voluntary surrender of these wanted persons,” PBGEN Dela Cruz said.

“These accomplishments reflect the dedication, operational commitment, and continuing momentum of PRO MIMAROPA in ensuring that wanted persons are located, arrested, and brought before the bar of justice,” he added.

PBGEN Dela Cruz further emphasized that PRO MIMAROPA will continue intensifying intelligence-driven operations, operational coordination, and focused law enforcement initiatives to strengthen public safety, uphold the rule of law, and ensure safer communities across the MIMAROPA region.

PULISYA SA NORTHERN SAMAR TUMULONG SA MENOR DE EDAD NA NAABUTAN SA CURFEW

Nagpakita ng malasakit at agarang pagtugon ang mga pulis sa Catarman, Northern Samar matapos tulungan ang isang menor de edad na naabutan sa pagpapatupad ng curfew ordinance sa Brgy. Ipil-Ipil.

Sa ilalim ng pamumuno ni PNP Chief PGEN Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., agad na inaksyunan ng Catarman Municipal Police Station noong Mayo 14, 2026 ang insidente matapos mahuli ang bata dahil sa paglabag sa curfew ordinance. Dinala siya sa himpilan ng Women and Children Protection Desk (WCPD) para sa tamang assessment, kung saan napansin ng mga pulis na may sugat siya sa kanang binti na nangangailangan ng agarang medikal na atensyon.

Sa inisyatiba ni PLtCol Alden E Dugan, Acting Chief of Police, kaagad na binigyan ng tamang gamutan ang menor de edad. Habang nasa kustodiya, binigyan siya ng kinakailangang pangangalaga at tulong bago ligtas na naihatid sa kanyang pamilya.

Ipinakita rin ng insidente ang pagpapatupad ng PNP Focused Agenda sa pamamagitan ng makatao at responsableng police service.

“Law enforcement must always be balanced with compassion and understanding. We are here not only to enforce rules but to protect lives,” pahayag ni PNP Chief PGEN Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr.

“Ang pagprotekta sa kabataan ay hindi opsyon kundi tungkulin ng bawat lingkod-bayan,” dagdag pa niya.

Sa kabuuan, ipinakita ng insidente ang balanseng pagpapatupad ng disiplina at malasakit ng kapulisan sa komunidad. Patuloy na pinagtitibay ng PNP ang layunin nitong “Bagong PNP para sa Bagong Pilipinas: Serbisyong mabilis, tapat, at nararamdaman.”
