💡 Did you know? Fast fashion is defined as cheap and trendy clothes, mass produced by large companies mostly from small and poor countries. It contributes to 85% of textile wastes dumped every year contributing to 10% of global carbon emissions.

In the Philippine context, 12% of all Filipino generations have dumped their unwanted clothes. The country produces 62 million tonnes of textile waste each year, where 87% of total fiber input used for textile production is burned or disposed of. With this large volume, only 20% of our clothes are recycled by Filipinos.

Reusing and recycle are simple ways we can do to help alleviate the harmful effects of fast fashion. Being the first to champion refashioning in Eastern Visayas, CloSuRe needs your help. Are you ready, fashion warrior? 👗♻️
