Back in 2016, a young aspiring rapper from Tacloban City named Kenneth Hernani, better known as " Kenzer ” started making noise in the local rap battle scene.
From small bar events to underground freestyle battles around the city, he slowly built his name through raw talent, confidence, and undeniable passion for the craft. What started as a simple dream of a local kid eventually became a story of dedication, perseverance, and growth.
During his early battles, we at BlackBox Clothing and Apparel immediately saw huge potential in Kenzer.
His hunger, stage presence, and commitment stood out from the rest, which led us to support him through merchandise, promotions, and collaborations.
Through years of hard work and mutual support from both parties, all the struggles eventually paid off when Kenzer rose to become a champion in Tacloban’s local rap battle scene.
As his career continued to grow, Kenzer became one of BlackBox’s most promising artists and later became a brand partner for their “ Ain't Fake Clothing.
His journey from local events to bigger stages became an inspiration to many aspiring rappers in Eastern Visayas.
Today, Kenzer is officially recognized as a battle rapper under the legendary FlipTop Battle League and proudly represents 053 Battle League in Tacloban City.
From 2016 to 2026, his golden decade proves that passion, consistency, and belief in one’s craft can take someone from a small city stage to a nationwide and internationally recognized platform.
What once seemed like a distant dream for a local kid with sky-high ambitions has now become a reality — helping elevate Tacloban’s rap battle scene onto the bigger stage of Philippine battle rap culture.
