Dedicated to my family 💜

This pieces is about appreciating the family I have and continuously making an effort to get closer. It highlights being open with my family and how I've matured through all of this. It hit me during the pandemic how I would take my family forgranted, but I realize that I'm the happiest with them and when we are all together. Every little thing counts and makes it more special.

So excited to incorporate this piece into my closet! For the project we were tasked to use any fabric manipulation on a crop top. As usual I struggled with the pattern of the basic bodice and sleeves (still working on it). I wasn't planning to style it and take photos, but with the end result of my top, how could I not?

P.S. doesn't the slashing in front look like the wolf scratch of the Beast from Beauty & the Beast?

I draped this upcycled evening gown for my advanced draping midterms. I reused the fabric from an old gown I wore to my great grandmother's 95th birthday back in 2015 (pic 2). I thought the gown needed to age up with me. Yet another gown, but still no events to go to.

Techniques:
- Pegged Skirt
- Pleating (regular and radiating)
- "couture" Bow Top detail
- Cowl Skirt
