Paul and Toni have steered their way around multiple obstacles to establish Meytal Kirk Clothing and bring it where it is today. The journey is remarkable and entails the story of a person who never gave up despite challenges. They tried different things before they finally gave their dream of online selling a shot. old Divisoria items such as footwears, kitchen accessories, stationaries, watches, etc. A friend looked for a dress which she wanted to buy as a birthday present. Thus, Paul and Toni searched for a garments supplier then their "tiangge" adventure started. Instead of travelling from Taytay, Rizal to Manila every week, they shifted from selling Divisoria items to garments. Being a resident of the town, Toni found it convenient to focus in selling garments than other products. She then learned about the online selling platforms such as Shopee and Lazada. It was when she read in the newspapers that E-commerce was booming in the Philippines. There is a bright future in the E-commerce business, she believed. "I thought that I should sell something that is not hard for me to sell online. I noticed that women’s clothing was a trending product that sold well, so I went to tiangge, met some suppliers, and requested them to let me sell their products online." Daily, whatever orders they would receive, they would travel all the way by riding on a tricycle to tiangge, collect the products, and then sort them before ship out. They were able to purchase two motorcycles which they could use for their daily operations even before they had a physical store. Come 2020, it was surprising that they sold more products compared to the previous years. This is when they identified the opportunity to expand into other varieties of clothing and have a physical store that would help them grow their business. Many people got in touch with them to learn how to sell online. They have been able to teach and guide several new sellers and on-boarded them to sell online. Today, they are doing really well and are quite successful. Their journey in online selling has been wonderful and thrilling.
