BaMa (Basilan in Manila) is an exciting collaboration project between a dynamic social enterprise based in Manila and the esteemed Badja Weavers’ Association of Bgy. This unique initiative aims to empower and uplift the talented women artisans who specialize in creating the exquisite Yakan weaves, famously known as the “tennun.” BaMa aspires to provide a platform that enables these skilled weavers

to showcase their craftsmanship and make their exceptional products accessible to a broader audience. BaMa is dedicated to conducting its business based on the principles of Social Solidarity Economy (SSE), striving to achieve a harmonious balance among the well-being of people, the preservation of the planet, and sustainable profitability. In alignment with SSE, BaMa places great emphasis on fostering social cohesion, promoting environmental stewardship, and ensuring economic viability.
