The State Bank of Pakistan has mandated a two-hour cooling period for instant transfers through services like JazzCash and Easypaisa. Under the new rule, when you send money it cannot be withdrawn by the recipient for two hours, giving senders a short window to spot a mistake or report suspected fraud and request a block on the transaction.
The measure aims to reduce unauthorized transfers and empower customers to act quickly if they suspect fraud or have second thoughts. Users are advised to check transfer details carefully and immediately contact their mobile wallet provider or the State Bank’s complaint channels within the two-hour window if they need to freeze a transaction.
