Today is International HR Day. Effective human resources is about so much more than only recruiting staff and monitoring leaves. At Norpak, our HR Unit which is headed by the talented Atifa Hassam, is responsible for our overall HR policy.

This policy is an important guidance tool as we continue our quest for a better an dmore decent work environment for everyone. It spells out how we go about everything related to our staff and their well-being, including how we hire and onboard new staff, but also how we ensure that employees are safe, healthy, and satisfied.

With proper HR management, workplace policies keep up with necessary protective measures and implementation and provide solutions to issues between team members, avoiding risk for the company and its employees.

This weekend, we had the pleasure of welcoming a group of 30 visitors who all live in Islamabad, but who come from all over the world. Followed by an energetic welcome by LAMS students in the scorching heat, the group was given a tour of the school campus and the adjacent Norpak (aka Bokhari) manufacturing facilities. A hot day, but a fantastic visit.
