Founder’s Story:
Farhan Bogra is a well-known public figure in Pakistan. He is a culture preservationist, music producer, a Rabab virtuoso and above all an entrepreneur. As a musician, Farhan has represented Pashtun music, an inextricable feature of both life and culture, not only within Pakistan but also in continents Europe, North America and Africa. He’s the backbone of the most famous instrumental band of Pakistan, i.e., Khumariyaan.
Also, he has worked with many multinational brands and produced music for their products — PEPSICO, HUAWEI, PTCL, Telenor, Walls and Coke to name few among the list of tens of ventures. And as a preservationist of culture, Bogra was the National Coordinator for Institute for Preservation of Arts and Culture. It was his keen interest in preserving the indigenous performing arts of Pakistan that PNCA made him member of its Board of Directors. Since it is Farhan’s firm resolve that dress and wear apparels also define a culture, he wants to introduce this side of Pakistan’s vibrant and rich culture by taking the Pakistani artisans’ work to international fashion industry.
The Philosophy and Story Behind F.BOGRA:
The establishment of F.BOGRA is Farhan’s travelling across more than one hundred villages of Pakistan for the sole purpose of cultural mapping of the country. The tour across the country was a revelation and reaslistion to Farhan that every few kilometres down the road, culture was changing in every possible way. And while navigating the length and breadth of the provinces, one crosses one’s paths with the most amazing, talented, skilled and master craftsmen. It is the untiring labour and creativity of these masters that make Pakistani culture so rich and appealing to the eyes.
