🤓 Why do similar coloured clothes have to be washed together?
The real answer to this question is that, normally, you should NOT have to.
The colour of the fabric is "fixed" by soaking the fabric rolls in dye baths. Depending on the composition of the fabric (cotton, polyester, nylon, ...) they have to be left for X minutes at Y temperature.
Some dye houses (a lot of them actually) try to save money by heating less or for a shorter time, which results in the colour fading. The other result is that you will keep your garment (and others that have changed colour in the machine) for less time.
This is not normal but it is a practice that has become common with "Fast Fashion". Indeed, with the global increase in energy costs, this trend is on the rise...
Choosing the RIGHT dye house and, above all, carrying out disgorgement tests in independent test laboratories is, for any serious manufacturing plant, essential. At Texjab, we carry out fading, pilling, twisting and shrinkage tests, .... on ALL OURS FABRICS. We have a team dedicated to the QUALITY CONTROL of fabrics.
