We are glad to share a few highlights from the S.M.A.R.T. (Secondary Materials And Recycled Textiles) Association's Phenix Conference 2025 held in the last week of September at the coolest venue yet, the Desert Ridge Resort in Phenix, Arizona. As long as we have been members, SMART conferences and activities have helped us & all those connected through it more about the business, state of affairs & what to expect in the future. Thank you to the organisers for such a wonderful event.

Natalie Hanson & Jessica Franken's presentations were great to listen to as business leaders from outside the US. Thank you both for the hard work which you guys do. Looking forward to the next one.

Mohib Exports collaborated with AJTex Consultants to set up a show case of the cleaning rags industry at .pakistan exhibition held on the 24th, 25th and 26th of April 2025. Such brand agnostic set ups are rare at exhibitions in Pakistan and so we had a lot of funny interactions with people who passed the corridor with surprise and curiosity to find out what we were selling. This was of course just for the purpose of learning & awareness for visitors to get tot know how textiles recycling can add value and be used to create specialised products. We showcased our products made with used clothing, industrial waste & regenerated yarn.

Rags & Wipers are useful for cleaning, mopping up messes, trade uses (plumbing, car repair, washing windows, etc.), craft projects, gardening (such as tying up stakes), garden fill, and much more. There are various materials which we use to make cleaning products for industrial, commercial and home use. Sourced from post industrial and post consumer waste textiles we are able to give a second life almost all the material we buy. Even our waste is raw material for regenerated yarn manufactures around the country. Here are a few of the knitted material rags which we produce here in Pakistan for the international market.

Made from post industrial waste, New Rainbow colored rags a great alternative for people not looking to use reclaimed material. These are made of new material, processed to be absorbent, and do not have any odor. These rags are medium-weight, soft textile wipers that are suitable for cleaning, polishing and absorbing liquids. Also ideal for valeting, maintenance, engineering and transport workshops.

One of the best things to happening earlier this year, was an upgrade to our offices. Renovated with the help of AMCO Buildz our new offices have double the capacity (using the exact same square feet as before) and look way more . The space got a new life in record time (6 weeks to be precise) considering all the challenges building anything brings in a package in Pakistan. The amount of paperwork which went into this space was surely worth the hard-work. Major life lessons learnt in the process.

We were at the S.M.A.R.T. (Secondary Materials And Recycled Textiles) Association 's Miami Conference being held at the InterContinental Miami

The conference attracted 115 companies from 16 countries and we were very happy with the diverse representation from Pakistan. The topics under discussion were EU's 2030 vision on Textile recycling and circularity, the thriving business of used clothing in Ghana and Tanzania and the rise of vintage fashion as well as vintage clothing in the US. We also had the privilege to present the market trends from Pakistani companies working with the US over the last several years through meticulously gathered data.

Also got together with the PR and Marketing working group to discuss the future approach to telling SMART's story more widely.

Looking forward to the Dubai instalment of SMART happening in February 2025.
