The “Separates” have destroyed the concept of a national dress consisting of three pieces i.e Shirt, Shalwar along with a shawl or a dupatta. Komal Nasir, a graduate from the college of home economics, believes that the beauty of an outfit comes alive if it is worn as a whole. These days the Dupattas and Shawls
have lost their importance. It is very hard to find a matching nice dupatta with a designer outfit. Last year Komal created few shawls and dupattas for herself and got raving reviews amongst friends and family members. She likes using bright and bold colours. Her work shows her innate fondness for intricate embellished embroidery. Resham, Marrori, Sequins and Gota work that are unmistakably rich and bespoke.
