Empowering Women. Preserving Crafts. Since 1967. Presently there are over 30 full-time and over 2000 part-time employees.

The main purpose of establishing an "industrial home" is to encourage income generation for low income families. As an earning member of the family they take part in the decision-making process. Behbud runs the largest Industrial Home in the NGO sector on an all-Pakistan basis. The major industrial home is in Rawalpindi, while there are small production units in Saidpur Village, Islamabad, Lahore,

Karachi, Multan and Peshawar. Our major Industrial Home at the Head Office in Rawalpindi, is providing training in garment making and traditional embroideries which are modernized into contemporary designs. The Industrial Home in Rawalpindi alone has provided employment to more than 100,000 women in the past 40 years
