🇬🇧 Women’s gown inspired by Petrus Christus’s painting “Portrait of a Female Donor”, dated to around 1450.
Burgundian gowns from this period were characterized by gathered fabric at the waist, which gradually disappeared over time, making the garments more fitted to the body. Collars during this era were shorter and less elongated. They were made of velvet, fur, or decorative silk brocades.

🇵🇱 Damska suknia wzorowana na obrazie Petrusa Cristusa „Portret kobiety” (Portrait of a Female Donor), datowanym na około 1450 rok.
Suknie burgundzkie z tego okresu charakteryzowały się marszczeniami w pasie, które z biegiem lat stopniowo zanikały, dzięki czemu stroje stawały się bardziej dopasowane do sylwetki. Kołnierze w tym czasie były krótsze i mniej wydłużone. Wykonywano je z aksamitu, futra lub ozdobnych jedwabnych brokatów.

🇬🇧 Lately, there have been quite a few silk garments showing up here, so it's time for something a bit less fancy 😉 Today, I'm presenting a woolen work dress — no ties, no fastenings. As simple as it gets. Perfect for work and camping. Dresses of this type can be found in both the 14th and 15th centuries.

🇬🇧 Today I present to you a silk gown based on a historical source from the year 1370 (Lancelot and Ginewra –"The Story of Lancelot" dated 1370 in the Biblioteque nationale, Paris, MS. fr. 343, 31v)
The gown was made using silk brocade from Kupiec Bławatny.
In addition to its exceptional pattern, the gown features unique golden embellishments on the sleeves and a decorative trim around the neckline.

🇵🇱 Przedstawiam Wam dzisiaj jedwabną suknię wykonaną na bazie źródła z 1370r. (Lancelot i Ginewra – „Historia Lancelota” z 1370 r. Biblioteka Narodowa w Paryżu, MS. fr. 343, 31v)
Na suknię wykorzystany został brokat jedwabny od Adama Bławata.
Poza wyjątkowym wzorem, suknia ma nietypowe, dodatkowe złote zdobienia na rękawach oraz lamówkę przy dekolcie.

🇬🇧 This season, a lot of silk has appeared in my studio. This time, I’m presenting a gown made for Beata Roma Lubinska-Mycek crafted from beautiful brocade by Kupiec Bławatny It’s a classic dress, but with a long train, tied at the side, and adorned with a silk trim.

🇵🇱 W tym sezonie w mojej pracowni pojawiło się sporo jedwabiu. Tym razem prezentuję Wam suknię wykonaną dla Beaty „Romy”, z pięknego brokatu od Adama Blawata. Suknia klasyczna, ale z długim trenem, wiązana na boku, ozdobiona jedwabną lamówką.

🇬🇧 Some time ago, I had the opportunity to sew wedding outfits for Szymon Koster and Anna Koster. Wedding attire is always a challenge for me, as the stress surrounding the entire event definitely makes itself known. But in the end, when I receive photos of the smiling couple, I feel that it was all worth it.

🇵🇱 Jakiś czas temu miałam okazję szyć stroje ślubne dla Szymona i Ani. Stroje ślubne to dla mnie zawsze wyzwanie, bo stres związany z całym wydarzeniem daje o sobie znać. Ale na koniec, kiedy otrzymuję zdjęcia uśmiechniętej pary czuję, że było warto.

Dziękuję nowożeńcom za zdjęcia i wspaniałemu fotografowi, Timowi Demskiemu ♥️
