Chasen from Nara Takaysma.
When it comes to Chasen (tea wisks) it all begins in Takayama, Nara. For over 500 years, artisans here have been traditionally handcrafting tea whisks.
Most of the Chasens sold on the market today are not made in Japan.
In Japan, only certified craftspeople can make them.
Each by hand, with a maximum of just five per day.

At Char Vintage, we import our tea whisks directly from 竹名堂 (Chikumeido) a traditional tea whisk artisan's.
You can reserve an authentic Japanese chasen, delivered in about one month (timing may vary).
If you seek the real thing, choose a Takayama chasen.
