He was born in Cali, Colombia but raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico. He's been designing clothes since the young age of 17 and has had the opportunity to work not only in his company but also with designers such as Bill Blass and Pierre Balmain. The Gustavo Arango fashion house was established in 1986 and since then it has become one of the most prominent fashion houses of the island.
