A little piece of history — and a very special film set. ⚔️
Ümera jõel / GodKiller is a historical film based on one of the most important battles in Estonian history. We actually had to read about this story at school — one of those rare battles where the Estonians managed to defeat their enemy. So being part of bringing this story to life felt pretty special.
Funny enough, this project came to me at a time when I had completely burned out and decided to take a break from sewing. And then, somehow, a costume department found me. :)
I joined the production as an assistant to the costume designer and got to work with an amazing Latvian team and the loveliest group of girls Marta Grase & Ilze Kaša The costumes were absolutely beautiful, with most of them made by hand, which made the whole experience even more inspiring for me as a textile artist.
It was one of those projects that reminded me why I love working with costumes in the first place.
Filming will continue in Latvia next year, and the film is expected to be released in 2028.
Leaving a few memories from the set here. 🤎
