BIOGRAFIA
Nuno Velez Durão nasceu em Lisboa mas até aos 10 anos viveu em Degolados - Campo Maior. Já na capital frequentou o Instituto Militar dos Pupilos do Exército para depois entrar na Escola de Artes Visuais António Arroio, onde aprendeu o ofício de Ourivesaria e Metais de Arte que exerceu durante dois anos. Licenciou-se em Design de Moda na Faculdade de Arquitectura da Universidade Técnica
de Lisboa e durante esses anos executou vários trabalhos para os desfiles da dupla Alves/Gonçalves e participou em vários concursos de novos designers, entre eles o Sangue Novo integrado na ModaLisboa e o Porto Fashion Awards. O estágio da licenciatura foi feito no atelier dos designers Alves/ Gonçalves, onde desde então exerce funções de assistente desta dupla. Paralelamente a este percurso profissional, desenvolve outros trabalhos dentro da área, nomeadamente: restauro de peças da colecção de Moda de Francisco Capelo doada ao MUDE e figurinos para teatro com a peça “As Malditas” no Teatro Tivoli em Lisboa e para óperas como “Carmen” de Bizet, “Nabucco” de Verdi e “O Barbeiro de Sevilha” de Rossini , produzidas e encenadas pela Orquestra do Norte. Os vestidos de noiva Nuno Velez, são outra das actividades que Nuno Velez Durão tem desenvolvido, tornando esse dia ainda mais especial para as clientes que tem vindo a somar ao longo dos anos. Nesta actividade de confecção por medida, Nuno Velez Durão dedica toda a sua atenção ao tratamento exclusivo e personalizado que confere a este tipo de trabalho o rigor e detalhe exigidos. Em 2011, teve a oportunidade de colaborar no atelier do criador espanhol Lorenzo Caprile. Recentemente e como um complemento aos seus conhecimentos e experiência no meio da Moda, frequentou o curso “How to create your own Fashion Business” na emblemática Central Saint Martins College of Arts and Design em Londres.

BIOGRAPHY
Nuno Velez Durão was born in Lisbon but lived until the age of 10 years old in a little village Degolados-Campo Maior in Alentejo (South of Portugal). Returned to the portuguese capital attended the Military Institute of the Army to Pupils. Later we studied the art of making jewellery at António Arroio School of Visual Arts and worked on it for two years. He is graduated in Fashion Design at the Faculty of Architecture of the Technical University of Lisbon. During these years he performed various jobs for the fashion shows of Alves/Gonçalves, portuguese fashion designers, and participated in various contests of new designers, among them “Sangue Novo” in Lisbon Fashion Week - ModaLisboa and Oporto Fashion Awards. The stage of the degree happened with the fashion designers Alves/Gonçalves, with whom he's working until now. In addition to this professional career, develops other works within the area, including: restoration of parts of Francisco Capelo fashion collection donated to the MUDE (fashion and design museum in Lisbon), costumes for the theatre with the play "As Malditas" at the Tivoli theatre in Lisbon and for operas like "Carmen" by Bizet, "Nabucco" by Verdi and "the Barber of Seville" by Rossini, produced and performed by the “Orquestra do Norte”. Nuno Velez wedding are another of the activities that Nuno Durão Velez has developed, making the day even more special for the customers that have been added over the years. In this activity of production per measure, Nuno Velez Durão devotes all his attention to exclusive and personalized treatment that gives this type of work the accuracy and detail required. In 2011, had the opportunity to collaborate in the atelier of spanish fashion designer Lorenzo Caprile.
