PRONUNCIATION SCARABAEUS SACER (SCARA-BAY-0S SACHER). We know it’s not the easiest name to pronounce but we know it will be hard for you to forget it ☺
MEANING & SYMBOLISM Scarabaeus sacer is the latin name for the ancient Egyptian Scarab beetle, which they held to be very sacred and a symbol of re-birth and resurrection. Our brand aims to invoke revival and re-birth of the fashion industry; specifically what is to be ethical, sustainable and eco-friendly. We want to bridge the gap between conventional or stereotypical ideas about organic fashion with fashion forward, trendy and hip premium fashion. You can be a conscientious consumer and still be fashionable.
THEMATIC COLLECTIONS
At Sacer we want our designs to breakdown barriers, reduce stigma, raise awareness, empower people, and most of all start real honest conversations. Our designers and artists aim to shock, and enlighten; shedding light on the challenges of so many out there. Each collection will be a fashionable catalyst for change and a chance for reflection and a genuine paradigm shift about social issues and the environment. Our pilot collection ‘Mind, Body & Soul’ focuses on mental health and general well-being.
