Sorry guys. Waterlost is Now a Fish Restaurant. Everybody was asking us for food, food and more food...so we swap Surfing, Fishing & Sailing, for cooking. Lunch time was crazy! We had the house full. Reservations for dinner is ON - leave a comment to book a table. 😉✅️

Hoje celebramos algo muito especial. ✨
O mestre artesão João Isaac fez finalmente a réplica do barco “Graça de Deus”.

Não somos apegados a objetos, mas este não é apenas um barco — é a memória viva de uma tragédia que marcou para sempre a nossa família e a nossa terra. Nele morreram 16 homens, entre eles o meu avô João de Deus, que seria o contra-mestre. 🌊

É a primeira vez que temos a noção volumétrica deste barco que afogou todas aquelas almas e alterou a vida de 16 famílias. É realmente tocante...parece que as velhas fotos tornaram-se vivas.

Hoje, seguimos para mais um dia, com a certeza de que o “Graça de Deus” vive para sempre na nossa memória — e agora também na nossa flagship store, na Marina de Peniche. ⚓

Today we celebrate something truly special. ✨
The master craftmanship Mr. João Isaac has finally completed the replica of the boat “Graça de Deus - Grace of God”.

We are not attached to objects, but this is not just a boat — it is the living memory of a tragedy that forever marked our family and our town. Onboard, 16 men lost their lives, among them my grandfather João de Deus, who would have been the first mate. 🌊

For the first time, we can truly sense the volume of the boat that drowned all those souls and changed the lives of 16 families. It is deeply moving...looks like the old photos became alive.

Today, we move forward with the certainty that the “Graça de Deus - Grace of God” will live forever in our memory — and now also in our flagship store at the Marina of Peniche. ⚓

We’ve moved to a new space on Restaurants Avenue, right by the Marina — and we couldn’t be happier. 🌊☀️
The days feel brighter, the sea is closer, and the energy around us has been amazing.

We’ve met incredible people, shared good conversations, and felt a real sense of belonging.
The shop feels alive — and so do we.

Still trying to process it… On our very first day at Waterlost new shop, we had the honor of meeting Rick King, the writer of Point Break (1991).

Meeting the mind behind a story that shaped the soul of surf culture was beyond anything we could imagine. And more than that — Rick was incredibly kind, gentle, and humble. The kind of energy that stays with you.

He’s a young man in a 75-year-old body — full of life, stories, and pure surf spirit.

Point Break didn’t just entertain — it awakened dreams, ignited passions, and brought thousands into the world of surfing.

Grateful beyond words. Thank you, Rick, your father energy was felt.
