Wir kaufen lieber, als zu reparieren, wir haben lieber zu viel als zu wenig, wir werfen lieber weg als zu verschenken. Kleiderklammer macht Kleider, an die man sich klammert. Von Hand, mit Liebe, nach Wunsch. Hinter Kleiderklammer steckt ein nähsüchtiger Kreativkopf, der immer auf der Suche nach neuen Herausforderungen ist. Three years ago, I was in Ghana.
I was lucky to witness incredible craftsmanship, amazing tailors, and the most beautiful hand-dyed fabrics. The country is inspiring, and the people are open-hearted, kind and deeply welcoming.

There is absolutely no reason why a country like Ghana or a city like Accra should be filled with our waste.
It is our overconsumption that keeps affecting the most vulnerable, again and again.

We need to rethink our relationship with clothing.
Our consumption. And our connection to nature.

Unfortunately, all the footage is real and not AI.
Thank you for writing about it and for sharing these images with the world.

Friends of South Tyrol (and nearby)!! 👋 {English below}

Bevor ich mit einem Koffer voller Ideen, meiner Nähmaschine und etwas Stoff nach Portugal aufbreche, gibt es noch ein ganz besonderes Angebot für alle, die hier in Südtirol oder in der Nähe sind.

Wenn du schon immer mal wissen wolltest, wie es sich anfühlt, eigene Kleidung zu nähen oder mit Stoffen und Nähmaschinen zu experimentieren – dann ist das deine Chance. Jeder Workshop findet in kleiner Runde von maximal 3 Personen statt, also lade gerne noch bis zu zwei Freund:innen ein. Mach dir keine Sorgen wegen der Kosten – zahl einfach, was du kannst.

A beautiful encounter in Türkiye.

Recently I visited Cappadocia and met Hayriye, a sweet lady, who welcomed us into her fairy-tale-like home. She showed us her handmade pieces — dolls, bags, and the most beautiful crocheted clothes. I was instantly amazed and I could not resist getting one!

I told her I also make clothes, and she smiled and said I could copy her design. I knew it would be tricky, so I joked that if I can’t manage, I’ll come back and she can teach me. Later, when I asked to use her toilet, Hayriye said she normally doesn’t let tourists in, but we’re friends now — so of course I could. 🥹💛

She reminded me that you don’t need much to live a happy life. She loves creating things and meeting new people — and that’s all she needs.

Something you can do if your mind won't shut up :)

I made myself another hat. This time not just one that had to look good, but one that would actually protect my head and eyes from the sun. It also needed a string so it wouldn’t fly off in the wind. Honestly, I only made it because I knew I’d be standing in the sun a lot while teaching people how to stand up on a surf board. But time was running out, and the only fabric I had left was some brown denim. Probably not the best choice for a hat that is going to be wet everyday… but in the end it did its job and so did I.

Even before I made it to the beach, the hat had already proved itself useful. In the lavender fields of France it turned into the perfect accessory for some influencer-style shots.

Big shoutout to my friend Sara, who just discovered a hidden photography talent. And I swear it didn’t take us more than three tries to get the hat perfectly centered.

And about the surf instructor pics: don’t worry, the shoot took place while all the students were safe and sound. 🤪

The new Kleiderklammer website is live!! 🎉 [deutsch weiter unten ↓]
And with the new website, Kleiderklammer got a fresh new look. The old site was 5 years old, and honestly, I couldn’t look at it anymore. Plus, I came up with two special things:

Klup-Club: The premium club for everyone from home and around — or anyone who just wants to be part. Premium content in German and South Tyrolean dialect. All the info and how to join is on the website.

Kleiderkiste: If life allows, I’ll be creating Kleiderklammer clothes to sell in the future. The box is still empty, but hopefully, I’ll be filling it with cool clothes very soon.

I'm so happy you’re here! If you want to celebrate with me, feel free to share the site with people who might like it or invite them to the Klup-Club. Even grandmas and grandpas can join on WhatsApp. :)

Und mit der neuen Website hat Kleiderklammer auch einen neuen Look bekommen. Die alte Seite war 5 Jahre alt, und ich konnte sie einfach nicht mehr sehen. Außerdem habe ich mir zwei besondere Sachen überlegt:

Klup-Club: Der Premium-Club für alle Menschen aus der Heimat – oder die es werden wollen. Premium Content in Deutsch und Südtiroler Dialekt. Alle Infos und wie du Teil davon sein kannst, findest du auf der Website.

Kleiderkiste: Wenn es mein Leben erlaubt, werde ich in Zukunft Kleiderklammer-Kleider kreieren und zum Verkauf anbieten. Noch ist die Kiste leer, aber hoffentlich kann ich sie bald mit coolen Kleidern füllen.

That’s one of those projects that was hard to deliver. Emotionally hard.

Imagine: You go to the fabric store, spend an hour finding a nice and soft fabric. You go home, wash it, hang it, measure it, cut it, sew it, try it on—and eventually you fall in love with the piece you’ve created.

Now imagine letting go. Letting go of hours of work, of a piece your soul is already living in. Letting go of a handcrafted, soft, and cozy thing that could have been your new home.

It’s hard. Really hard.
But I went through it, and now I feel okay again. The poncho is in good hands, and I’m sure it will get a lot of love.

New Chapter💫

Until now, I’ve been showing clothes in a reduced way – hanging them up, clean background, focusing on the piece itself. But clothes are more than just “things”. They are full of meaning, emotions, and stories.

That’s why from now on, the stories will move to the center. The story of the clothes, the people, the moments around them.

Because in the end: clothes are not just objects – they are happenings you can wear.
