Our Maloja is now called Ora. 🎉

We want to be completely honest: The reason behind this is a legal notice we received. It did leave us with mixed feelings. We didn’t name our brand Maloja. We simply gave one of our bikini bottoms that name. At the same time, many of you may also know “Maloja” as the name of a wind and as a geographical term. 🌬️

In the end, though, we made a very conscious decision to choose peace.

And so Maloja becomes Ora. 💫

What sounds like a small name change actually means quite a lot of work behind the scenes: legal fees, relabelling every piece, updating product descriptions and our online shop, and going through our social media feeds to find and update previous
mentions. Quite the extra workload. 🙃

But that, too, is simply part of running a business. Sometimes moving forward means choosing not to put your energy into a dispute, but instead into the things you actually want to create and focus on.

And to be honest: we really like Ora. 😍

A little glimpse into life at a Women of Water Retreat 🩵

From meeting everyone for the first time, to sharing waves, surf sessions and video analysis, slowing down with Qi Gong and Yin Yoga, cooking together, eating together… and all the little moments in between.

Our retreats are about so much more than surfing.
They’re about connection, healing, learning, laughing, trying something new and spending a week surrounded by beautiful women.

This was Sri Lanka… and every retreat creates its own kind of magic✨

A good sports bikini fits differently from a regular bikini. Especially during fast movements in the water, it needs to fit snugly so everything stays exactly where it belongs. 🌊🏄‍♀️

Your bikini top should feel like a sports bra. Secure, supportive, and comfortable.
Of course, finding the right size is key. For example, our founder Jocy wears a 70F cup size, and our size M fits her perfectly. She gets great support without feeling restricted, and nothing moves out of place. 👙
If you want maximum security for intense surf sessions, you can even choose one size down for an extra-tight fit. If you're mainly relaxing at the beach or wearing the bikini underneath your wetsuit, your regular size is the perfect choice.

Many bikini brands rely on making the bikini tighter through sizing because the cut itself doesn't provide enough support. For example, with a classic triangle bikini, you often have to tie it extremely tight to keep it in place. With a well-designed sports bikini, the support comes also from the cut. Another big advantage is a double-layered construction, just like all of our bikinis. 😉
