On Thursday I time travelled back to Medieval times and had a stall with my knitwear at the Templar Festival in Tomar. By Sunday night I was well tired ( midnight finishes started to take a toll on me lol) but elated with the great atmosphere and all the lovely people I met . The fresh and nippy evenings following the hot afternoons meant my shawls were selling like hot cakes and many people left wearing my hugs around them.
It was so special meeting parlour mates for the first time and being able to hug them in person, catching up with parlour mates , making new parlour mates and meeting up with old friends, receiving beautiful praise for my creations and being told that they can see and feel the love in each garment is what my parlour is all about.
I thank my soulmate and hubby Doug for being my companion throughout ,except during the hours when he had to mentor some of our artists from our live statue group who were also performing, definitely a busy 4 days for us but great !!
I thank the organisation the Municipal of Tomar for the beautiful festival which attracted thousands of people over the course of the 4 days , the excellent organisation of the Artisan area and all who came along and supported the event.
Now I´m off to knit up more shawls to replenish my stock, oooooh what will i be creating over the next few months ?
(I thank parlour mate Debbie Salemink for the photo she took of me yesterday
