20. Admin have the right to change, remove and create new rules as and when we deem fit
The Admins cannot tell the fake items that pretend and purport to be the real thing, from real Designer merchandise. Nor do we wish to do this. We do not have the TIME or EXPERTISE to check every advert. Admin is at risk of legal action by the genuine merchandisers and Retailers in Qatar of some of the brands that people try to pass off ( falsely represent) as the genuine item . Considering this is a FREE SERVICE we are not prepared to spend our own money defending legal actions caused by OTHERS ( ie the Members who want to sell either fake Designer or Real Designer items. We are not at all prepared to take that risk; full stop, So do not post these types of items; If you do, ACCESS TO THIS SITE WILL BE REMOVED
We trust this helps members to understand our reasons for not allowing these items on AuctionQatar and to respect our decision made. DEFINING DESIGNER and LUXURY GOODS:
Designer is mostly produced by a fashion house, has (or has had) an Artistic director (example Calvin Klein, Ralph Lauen, Marc Jacobs etc. These items are manufactured from high quality materials to a much higher specification than general items sold in Supermarket type chains and the like. Consequently prices of the genuine items are much higher as is associated with LUXURY goods. Luxury goods are products and services that are not considered essential and are associated with affluence. For an item to be regarded as genuinely DESIGNER the brand must be instantly recognizable by it’s NAME, quality, and it’s own signature style and the reputation of the brand. These Designer brands are often copied for the general market by the unscrupulous who ignore Patent and Trademark rights, The Target market for these FAKE COPIED items is for those who aspire to have these brands but cannot afford to pay the price asked by the Genuine DESIGNER brand. EXAMPLES OF NAMES OF DESIGNER & LUXURY GOODS NOT PERMITTED:
