🪶 I’ve reached the final stage of my PhD: analyzing the data and drawing conclusions based on it.
📊 Here are three comparative charts I created using responses from consumers in the 🇬🇧 UK and 🇷🇴 Romania. The results highlight distinct behavioral patterns and reveal how consumer attitudes differ between the two countries.
👕 When asked to choose their # 1 criterion, British consumers overwhelmingly picked the Feel-good factor, followed by Timelessness. Romanians, on the other hand, opted for Versatility and Uniqueness (Figure 1).
👗 In the UK, the most important criterion when shopping for clothes is Fit, while in Romania Aesthetics prevails (Figure 2).
🛍️ Not surprisingly, Romanians show a stronger preference for brand-name clothing, whereas for British consumers, brand status is not a decisive factor (Figure 3).
My PhD is a cross-country analysis with two strands (consumers and manufacturers). It will shed light on a myriad of aspects involving the state of the textile industry today. Data has been collected through interviews and questionnaires.
More to come.
