The company was founded in 2000 and we emphasize on designing clothes for women. Our studio is located near the beach on the island of Gotland, Sweden, in the middle of the Baltic Sea. Our chief designer and founder, Annette Branting, started the company because she wanted to channel her thoughts and ideas into something creative, and at the same time to be free from the restrictions of being empl
oyed. Our fabrics are selected from all over Europe and the garments are produced mainly in Lithuania. Branting's production adheres to a pro environment policy and is carefully selected in order to guarantee a strict non child labor work force. We create our garments through feeling and instinct. We try to feel what is missing and what we long for. Every collection lives its own life and is borne out of our ”mind babies”. We get our inspiration from our close surroundings, this peculiar place, the island of Gotland in the middle of the Baltic Sea, with its inspiring nature and the surrounding sea. Yet our travels also take us to many major cities around the globe, where we get inspired by the hustling city life and its extraordinary inhabitants. These impressions are melted together and brought to life in our collections. This process makes us create funny, stylish and exciting clothes, suitable for a night club in Barcelona as well as in front of a fireplace in a ski lodge in Chamonix. We focus on modern strong women who wants to make a statement about themselves and have the courage to be looked at. We aim for our collections to mirror our customers need for comfort and sensual femininity. When a woman is wearing our clothes, she should get the feeling of being unique and individual and that she will be able to find something that is made ”only for her.” To wear Branting should give a sensation of joy, individuality and esthetics.
