Shelta är sedan 2004 en butik och solid streetinstitution baserad på Andra Långgatan i Göteborg. Shelta föddes ur passionen och flera års erfarenhet av deejaying, grafisk design, skateboarding, musikproduktion, mixtapesläpp och klubbkultur. Med denna erfarenhet bakom oss har vi skapat Shelta direkt från hjärtat exakt s

å som vi vill ha det. Vi tror starkt på att det inte bara är viktigt, utan nödvändigt, att varje produkt är knuten till en inspirerande story, att det finns en länk till själva ursprunget, och att man alltid ska kunna relatera. För oss handlar Shelta om mycket mer än bara sneakers, kläder och prylar - det handlar mest av allt om inspirationen från alla intressanta människor vi träffar eller har glädjen att få arbeta med. Det handlar om den där samplingen som vi inte lyckats lista ut än. Och det handlar om att ta en kopp med sin vän på bänken utanför butiken. Vår vision är att lära, blanda, och ibland även provocera, och vårt mål är att alltid utnyttja inspirationen vi ständigt matas med till att leverera vad vi anser vara toppnivån inom kontemporär sneaker- och streetrelaterad kultur.

We know Way Out West can be a lot, so together with adidas Originals we’d love to invite you to a pick-me-up breakfast & brunch block party on Friday, August 14, from 11.00-13.30.

Our lovely neighbours at Republik, just across the street from Shelta on Andra Långgatan, will serve you coffee and a few morning apertizers. Back at Shelta, Ms. Renegade will be playing a special DJ set to get you ready for the day, and we’ll have a few drinks available if you’re in the mood.

This is a free event - but RVSP is mandatory.

Our new shades, made in collaboration with the good people at CHPO, drop Saturday, August 15th.

The CHPO x Shelta “Highlife” eyewear draws inspiration from over 20 years of Andra Långgatan history, blended with early ’90s surf DNA and iconic flicks like Point Break and Thrashin’.

To celebrate the release, we’re giving the FIRST 50 PEOPLE who pull up to the store for Saturday’s event A FREE PAIR of these sick shades.

And there’s more to it than just looking good. All Shelta x CHPO profits from Saturday’s event will be donated to Läkare Utan Gränser, supporting their vital work in conflict areas including Gaza, Sudan, DR Congo and Ukraine.

On the final day of Way Out West weekend, we’re teaming up with Monster Energy and CHPO for a Shelta Block Party you don’t want to miss.

Norrlands finest, Cleo, needs no introduction. She’ll deliver a live set backed by fellow Random Bastards members Ayla and Alexander Juneblad.

To make the day even better, Ricardo Roessel will bless us with a DJ set. A true record digger with roots in Chicago’s underground, he’s brought his dance floor-driven selections to renowned clubs and venues around the world.

Monster Energy keeps the drinks flowing while we turn Andra Långgatan 21 into exactly the kind of party we want it to be :-)

We’re also celebrating the release of our collaboration with our friends at CHPO. The first 50 guests will receive a free pair of CHPO × Shelta ”Highlife” sunglasses. All profits from these sunglasses sold throughout the day will be donated to Läkare Utan Gränser and their vital work in conflict zones including Gaza, Sudan, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and Ukraine.

The event is free, and all are welcome, but joining the guest list is required!

The day before Way Out West kicks off, Shelta and adidas Originals invite you to a one-of-a-kind musical experience.

For two unforgettable hours, the Cult Classics crew – featuring Parham, Tvillingarna, Skander, Överklass, Chad Bogus, Bojou and The Humble Dapper – will take over the stage, performing both collaborative and solo tracks. Come catch a real Gothenburg cypher at Il Chiosco at Stigbergstorget.

Cult Classics is a local fluid collective that, through its many prominent members, has been one of the defining voices in Gothenburg’s hip hop scene for over a decade. Rooted in the local scene, the collective works as a platform where friends come together to share music and create a nostalgic atmosphere in true 031 spirit.

At Shelta, we’ve had the privilege of following the crew closely throughout the years, watching them grow and evolve as artists and creatives. From freestyling outside the store in their early days to releasing their music on vinyl through our Shelta Records label, performing intimate in-store live shows, and sharing countless memorable moments together - hip hop as an art form has always been at the heart of it all. Bringing everyone together on one stage feels special, and we’re convinced this will be one for the books.
