For us, Antoinette Poisson is far more than beautiful decoration—it is the revival of an almost forgotten chapter of French craftsmanship.

Founded in Paris by Jean-Baptiste Martin and Vincent Farelly, the house has become internationally celebrated for bringing the art of 18th-century papier dominoté back to life. Working with one of France’s most prestigious paper mills, every sheet is produced on exceptional archival-quality paper before being hand-finished using traditional techniques, preserving the richness, depth, and character that made these papers so treasured centuries ago.

Their remarkable papers are crafted on handmade rag paper at the historic Moulin Richard de Bas in Ambert, France—one of the world’s oldest working paper mills, with a papermaking tradition dating back to the 14th century. Today, the mill is led by Emmanuel Kerbourc’h, who continues this extraordinary legacy of French craftsmanship.

Alongside their remarkable paper collections, we are equally captivated by their linen cushions. Woven from beautiful natural linen and printed in France with extraordinary attention to detail, they combine historical motifs with exceptional craftsmanship. The result is a collection that feels timeless—equally at home in a château, a city apartment, or a country house.

For years, I have admired the dedication of Jean-Baptiste Martin and Vincent Farelly to preserving the extraordinary craft of domino papers—those richly decorated hand-block printed papers that once adorned the finest French interiors of the 18th century. Rather than simply recreating history, they have given it new life, allowing centuries-old artistry to find its place in contemporary homes around the world.

A Sweet Slice of Italian Craftsmanship 🍰🇮🇹

Since 1840, the Introna family has been handcrafting candles in Puglia, Southern Italy, preserving more than six generations of artisanal candle-making tradition. Today, siblings Vincenzo and Rossella Introna continue the family legacy, transforming wax into remarkably lifelike works of art that celebrate the joy of the Italian table and everyday life.

Each candle is individually hand-finished using traditional techniques, with incredible attention to color, texture, and detail. Their whimsical creations—from cakes and fruit to vegetables and festive figures—blur the line between sculpture and candle, making them as beautiful to display as they are to light.

As Malmö Festival begins, I wanted to share a quick update for the week ahead.

From Friday, August 7 through Friday, August 14, parts of the city will be busier than usual, with street closures and detours throughout central Malmö. Whether you’re arriving on foot, by bicycle, by car, or by train, I recommend allowing a little extra time for your visit.

We’ll be operating with reduced opening hours during the festival, so please keep an eye on our daily Stories for the latest updates.

Our online shop is always open, and we’re only ever a phone call, email, or DM away if you need advice, have a question, or are searching for something special.

If you’d prefer a quieter and more personal experience, you’re always welcome to book a private appointment. We’d be delighted to welcome you.
