Filip putting together a mix of old and new favourites.

The foundation is Spellbound’s Wide Tapered Selvedge Denim — a relaxed fit woven from low-tension 12oz selvedge denim, rope-dyed with pure indigo and finished with one of the most natural vintage washes we’ve seen in a long time.

Up top, an orSlow White Chambray Work Shirt. Clean, simple, and one of those pieces that somehow works with absolutely everything.

Layered over it is where things get interesting: The Real McCoy’s Tiger Camouflage Shirt. Inspired by the tiger stripe patterns worn during the Vietnam War and famously associated with John Wayne’s visit to troops in Vietnam, it’s a piece that combines military history with some of the finest garment construction you’ll find anywhere today.

On foot, the Astorflex Venteflex keeps everything grounded. Soft Italian leather, understated design, and the kind of effortless comfort that makes you forget you’re wearing them.

The Real McCoy’s belongs firmly in the second category.

Founded in Japan by Hitoshi Tsujimoto, The Real McCoy’s set out with a simple but obsessive goal: recreate the finest military, workwear and sportswear garments ever made — not inspired by them, but reproduced as faithfully as possible.

That means sourcing vintage originals, taking them apart stitch by stitch, studying fabrics, hardware, thread, dyeing techniques and construction methods, then rebuilding them using modern Japanese craftsmanship and an almost unreasonable level of attention to detail.

The result is clothing that many collectors consider the benchmark. Not just in Japan, but anywhere.

Whether it’s an A-2 flight jacket, a loopwheel sweatshirt, a military field jacket or a pair of denim jeans, The Real McCoy’s approaches every garment with the same philosophy:

For years, we’ve been fortunate enough to carry many of Japan’s finest brands. But The Real McCoy’s has always occupied a special place at the very top of the pyramid.

Today we’re incredibly proud to say that the first ever Real McCoy’s delivery has finally landed at Meadow.

And trust us, it was worth the wait.

Finally, our first drop of .jp has arrived and it’s firing on all cylinders 🔥 for us this is the next natural step, and also the most amazing step. Many shops want to carry this brand, very few are selected. I believe we might be the only new shop this year to have been selected. It’s an incredible honour and we will do our best to tell you the story of each individual piece, because the is one behind every single piece. Ironically we didn’t have time to add product descriptions today, but it’ll be done first thing tomorrow 😅
