Color of the year 2026 ☁️

is named Cloud Dancer by Pantone, the huge forecaster in color setting the annual trends directing fashion & interior design industries. The color of the year came along with quite some debate online.

As a kid I was told I was shy. I forgot my lines in the annual school play & left the stage w my teacher’s disappointment weighing on my back.

Ever since I started my own brand I became the person I had always been. I took the center space & unapologetically never blended in. Anymore.

MLì by SVENSSON is everything but a Cloud Dancer.

We say “Au revoir” 2025 Year of the Snake & looking forward to 2026 Year of the Fire Horse!

Black Friday Manifesto 💣

We’re hitting the run of sales this week leading up to Black Friday itself, continuing over the following weekend or even “Black November”.

Black Friday nowadays contains both chaotic crowds & digital domination.

Statistics say around 60% of people, that previously made an unplanned purchase during Black Friday, have regretted it. In 2022 U.S. shoppers spent a record $9 billion on Black Friday alone.

In chain stores Black Friday sales means selling off those shelf warmers before the season shifts w new collections.

As a small fashion brand, our margins are narrow enough to not even gain from sales that goes from expected 50% and above.

Here’s to a Black Friday Manifesto; The verb “to manifest” have a meaning “to show something clearly through signs of actions” developing into new definition as “to imagine achieving something you want, in the belief the doing so will make it more likely to happen”.

On our terms “not likely to happen”. Black Friday promotes overconsumption on products that exploits workers. Marked up retail prices are calculated on a basis that they still gain from products made elsewhere by somebody not earning enough.

*Black Friday happens the Friday after Thanksgiving in the U.S. & traditionally marks the start of the Christmas shopping season. The name traces back to as early as 1869 but it wasn’t until the 1950’s the term was used in American retail coined by the Philadelphia police to describe the chaotic day after Thanksgiving when shoppers flooded the city for deals & football. Crowds & traffic jams during a police workforce absence post-thanksgiving.
