In comparison to the Edwardian corset this one has a victorian silhouette instead. It’s made in white dot cotton jacquard with silk thread flossing.

Miss Diamond is one of Viola’s oldest customers and following her from that very first Stockholm Burlesque Festival (has it really been 16 years?) through the years of her spreading that burlesque magic near and far has been a true privilege. This specific corset was made by us in 2025.

One frequent corset myth that I often try to debunk is that women in general was tight lacing during the Victorian and Edwardian eras. In reality corsets were not laced more than a couple of inches by most users and mainly supported the bust and helped distributing the weight of the skirts. However that may be, sometimes it’s fun to remodel the torso a bit more than ‘just a little’. In this case 15 cm, 71 to 56 cm. Now I just need to make that riding habit to go with it… ***dcorset

This one is made to give a nice Victorian silhouette. Wearing a lightly b***d corset as this one gives a great foundation for reenactment garments of the 1850s-1890s era, without being too difficult to wear. Made with flossing and decorated with guipure lace. ***dcorset

Busy making corsets 😍. This autumn we have been making quite a few of the new models u263 “Madeleine” and u237 “The goddess”. There will be more pictures of them soon but this one is an old favourite of mine, a one layer coutil u446, perfect for everyday use. Model is and photographer is Robert Mosbach.

This silk brocade is just so beautiful! Our customer had it laying at home, left over from making a dress and the pieces were luckily enough to get a full corset out of it 🤩

We are so happy to have our lovely muse by our side whenever we want to try some new techniques or patterns.

The fabulous Miss Diamond has been wearing Viola Lahger corsets for more than 10 years now 🥰 and she puts them to some stress tests on stage performing, whenever in the crowd, while hosting parties and perhaps also during Fridays?

Since Miss Diamond is wearing her corsets A LOT and also underneath her dresses she asked us last year to make a new underbust for her to use mainly underneath, and this is the result. It’s a one layer coutil corset in black jacquard. Made to be comfy enough to wear for hours when you have worn it in.

We call it The Goddess!
