ALMOST THERE

On Monday we are pulling a classic out from the archives, the 8165 Round Toe.

Renowned for its clean lines and signature round toe, the 8165 is crafted with our Black Chrome leather and finished with a white Traction Tred rubber outsole. This shoe can reach glorious levels of shine in the right hands. And, for those who are not polishing experts, they are made to last a very long time either way!

HISTORY REPEATS ITSELF

The last of the Round Toe trio is soon here in Europe!

In 1941, the original Red Wing Round Toe was born. Originally called the 777: a new pattern that resulted in superior comfort, fewer seams and better water-proofing.

12 years later, the collection grew to include the 766 and the black heeled sole was replaced by a cushion crepe outsole, giving it a look much closer to that of todays models. In 1985 the current Round Toe was born. It has the same seamless heel pattern as the 777 in 1941 because it stood the test of time in comfort and water proofing.

CUSTOM BLACKSMITHS

One of our fantastic regulars, Dane, reached out to show us his newly re-soled 3340 Blacksmiths in Briar Oil Slick. The experts over at have fixed him up with a leather midsole and Vibram outsole to take Dane through day-to-day life in comfort and style!
