Although, back then we weren’t known as We Are Thriftin’, but just two friends trading off of a market stall in Shoreditch, East London. As we slowly expanded our offering (and polished up on our cockney slang), we created a space for other vintage clothing traders to do their thing inside Hanbury Hall, a former chapel just outside the renowned Spitalfields Market. We quickly earned recognition as
one of East London’s vintage hotspots and featured in the likes of Vogue Japan and Time Out along the way. Fast forward a few years and we’ve realised that the world has changed, and so has the way we shop. As a result, we decided to create the We Are Thriftin’ brand, an online vintage store with a carefully curated selection of pre-loved secondhand items. We believe that we all need to do our part to reduce the carbon footprint and amount of waste that we produce. Here at We Are Thriftin’, we aim to keep pre-loved items in circulation once they’ve reached the end of life with their previous owner. By shopping secondhand, we’re reducing the cost of fashion by giving new life to used clothes and most importantly, saving these unwanted items from going into a landfill.
