It’s been a while since I wore these. Perfect fit apart from the instep which is a little low and tight. They are due for a shine though. What do you think?

Currently finishing my 5 year Re-review of the Septieme Largeur Joffre in Marble Brown Patina. It’s part of a multi-part series where I revisit shoes that I’ve used for years and see if my opinion has changed, the positives, negatives and overall thoughts. As you can see this has aged very well, with over 100 wears during these 5 years. The sole is still in good condition and the patina developed wonderfully. It will be up on the Blog (www.misiuacademy.com) soon. Do you think it looks cool?

My second ever bespoke shoes I ever finished myself, 4 years ago. The most comfortable ones too. It’s sometimes surreal to use or wear something that everybody has, yet you made it yourself.

With the unfortunate passing of Mr. Melani, it was necessary for me to wear one of the nicest pairs I’ve ever had, courtesy of my School at . The best fitting RTW last I have, so much that we didn’t have to do any modifications whatsoever for bespoke. The S Last is the epitome of elegance. I am thankful for the lessons I learned under Tommaso and the rest of the stewardship.

Ah, one of my favorite styles of all time: the evergreen austerity brogue. It’s just so simple, classic and elegant. This particular model is from and was a made to order on the U last. It still looks excellent around 4-5 years later. Unfortunately it now fits me a bit too tight for my liking, and the back digs into my Achilles. I am sad to say that I will be looking to move them on. It’s a handwelted marvel with incredible leather and as you can see looks incredible. If you fit in a UK 7.5/US 8.5 this should fit you well. Feel free to DM. This would be around $400+shipping and includes lasted shoe trees and expertly installed metal toe tips.

The suit was from my former employers in Stockholm.

One of my favorite make ups, a Gucci inspired horsebit loafer I created and designed with Enzo Bonafe ( ) through .

The inspiration was clear, make something that incorporates the iconic colors, with a beautiful green leather base, a gold bit and a hint of red on the straps.

Finished with some nice cotton socks by and MTO cotton chinos by . There’s some cotton navy polo on the top by Luca Faloni, but they are rubbish so it’s not worth tagging 🤣.

This model of shoes was made in a Blake Light Construction, but it is possible to make it handwelted at any time through the enormous customization potential of Enzo Bonafe at The Noble Shoe. I think with shoe trees this cost me about 900$. It’s probably my most complimented shoe.

I have just started a new series on Misiu Academy which will span multiple months. In that series, I will be re-reviewing all the shoes that I have acquired during the last 7-8 years and seeing if my viewpoint has changed, or there have been issues and surprises. Spotting a quality shoe is overall easy, but it’s really after real wear and time that you get to experience all the little nuances and details that are not possible to discover. How’s the leather and the patina aging? Is the sole holding up? Are they still comfortable?

You can read the article on the blog, along with some thoughts. In terms of value, one of the best $450 I’ve ever spent.

A Long Overdue Review Over 8 months ago I received a wonderful pair of Kudu Leather Boots by Enzo Bonafe. Due to personal challenges which I will share with you in a future article, I didn't get a chance to wear or review them. Now though it's time to dust off those typing skills and get b
