Whoa! 😮 We just made an exciting discovery at Lendbreen — a leather or hide object lying on the bedrock near the pass area! It appears to have at least two different types of seams. When we turned it over, it looks like it could be a shoe, but we’ll need to open it up to be sure. That task will be left to an archaeological conservator later on 😊

This object is likely from the Viking Age or Medieval period, adding another fascinating piece to our understanding of the Lendbreen pass.
