A colour originally reserved for the emperor, yellow was associated with sunshine and gold, fitting for nobility! It later was also associated with the samurai class denoting high status and courage.

With it also being the colour of the Yamabuki (Kerria) flower, it’s linked to nature, youth, warmth and happiness, making it associated with positive energy!

This year we are bringing our classic vintage restored Japanese kimonos, made in Japan and restored in Singapore, alongside a new range of evening bags repurposed from Obi belts! From our flowy silk pieces, to lightweight breathable rou silk fabrics to elaborate embroidered and hand painted kimonos, we can’t wait for you guys to try on these wearable art pieces 👘

This is our creation for Wings Of Art, born from the literal off cuts of our past collections and runway pieces, combined into a piece that represents what we see as our metamorphosis through our journey in the creative industry, and what we hope will continue on through the next generation! As part of 60 Winged Barbies with 1 purpose, a charity auction with Singapore Red Cross with all proceeds going to support underprivileged children.

Alchemize - Growing up, life often felt like a blank canvas, waiting to be filled with the colours of our dreams and aspirations. For both of us, art and creativity have been passions we’ve cherished from a young age. This blend of passion and drive has come together to create a canvas now bursting with colour—where some areas blend to form new shades, while others thrive in their own unique expressions. Most importantly, this fusion of passions has created our own unique tapestry of art and beauty, representing the journey we’ve taken and the never-ending joy of pursuing our goals as a continuous work of art.

Well it’s an important question and the driving force behind everything we do at this brand! So if you’re new to our profile, thank you for taking the time to scroll through ❤️ and if you’re someone who’s already following us, thank you for coming on this journey with us so far!

We can’t wait to bring more beautiful and interesting vintage kimonos back to life, and into the hands and everyday styles of the wonderful people who represent our brand and all that it stands for!

Created from vintage Obi belts, we focused on showcasing the beauty of the fabric itself in these bags! Allowing the intricate details of the belts to lead our design language, we took inspiration from how the belts are traditionally folded and how they play an important role in holding a full kimono set together.
