“During Christmas gatherings or funerals were the only times I heard the Kristang language being spoken. “Bos jak kumi, Teng B**g, Bos Keng Se Krense?” (Have you eaten, Are you good, Whose child are you?) Nostalgic memories floods in just hearing these few words. A language seldom heard these days, but a language that certainly brings warmth and joy to the heart. Hope this platform ushers the younger Kristang generation to practice this dying language more”
