Nobody told us baby wipes could be so complicated until we started digging deeper. 🧻👶
When choosing wipes for our own store, we realised there was more to consider than just price, thickness or packaging.
Here's what we look at:
✅ Simple formulation
Oldam keeps it simple with just 5 ingredients. Fewer ingredients don't automatically make a product better, but we appreciate a formulation that's straightforward and easy for parents to understand.
✅ Made in Korea
Korea is trusted worldwide for skincare and skin-related products. That's one reason we were comfortable choosing a Korean-made wipe for our families.
✅ Independent testing & certifications
From dermatological testing to various safety and quality assessments, we believe certifications provide another layer of assurance beyond marketing claims.
✅ Manufacturing standards
One thing we're proud of is that we've actually visited the Oldam factory ourselves. Many brands show the product. We chose to show the production process too, because we believe parents deserve transparency.
✅ Fresh manufacturing dates
Many parents ask about expiry dates, but we think manufacturing dates matter too. Wipes can have a long shelf life, but we still prefer bringing in newer production batches whenever possible. That's why we generally keep Oldam stocks within about 2–3 months from the manufacturing date when they arrive in Singapore.
At the end of the day, every family chooses products differently.
But for something that touches a baby's skin multiple times a day, these are the things we personally pay attention to. 💛
