Our third edition at 🩢

As always, we are ever so grateful for the immense love and support for our brand. Old faces of inssas we’ve now known for years (who never fail to shower us with goodies to fuel our days), to new people we just met, every moment was a special one that we will always remember.

This particular edition took a lot for us to prepare and we dare say it was our very best yet. The launch of our first ever denim jeans collection was a huge success, and we were so happy to bring you on-site alteration to make sure the pair was fit to you.

It takes a whole ecosystem behind the brand; from our manufacturers in Korea toiling months before, to our movers and contractors who ensure a beautiful set-up, team saero returning time and time again to welcome you, boutiques and the community of brands supporting each other, and above all the customers we are grateful for. Thank you for loving what we do.

We enjoyed every moment, and we hope you did too.

Behind The Scenes Part 3 | Denim Jeans

Human hands make our apparel. Even with assisted machines, 100% of our garment making in Seoul still involve human hands in the construction process. For example, the fabric cutting and trimming process is highly labor-intensive, with human hands operating machines to cut fabric.

Did you know that jeans has 15-20 separate pieces of fabric needed for construction compared to 5 pieces for a basic tee shirt? It also takes 4 times longer to manufacture than other garments, and could be even longer depending on the wash and finishing. From pattern making to sewing and assembly to final packing, the entire process took us 2.5 months just to get the stock ready.

We left the audio on so you’d enjoy the real sounds from the factory - machines whirring, Korean radio and even some old classics loved by the elders working hard in the factory.

Finished in a carefully developed Midnight Black washβ€”a rich black with cool deep-blue undertonesβ€”or Classic Blue, this pair can be worn true to size or sized up for a lower-rise fit, and cinched effortlessly with any belt.

Behind The Scenes Part 2 | First Denim Jeans

We wanted our jeans to have all the traditional details included, such as the embossed leather patch at the back, but done in the brand’s minimalist ethos. Thus, on the upcoming jeans we are debuting the brand’s first ever Hangeul logo, γ…… γ„Ή, which are the first alphabets of the word μƒˆλ‘œ meaning saero.

It was a pretty straightforward creative decision for us; keeping it clean and subtle, but true to the brand’s made in Korea roots, a simple Hangeul logo was befitting. Of course, out of all the colours we could have for a leather patch, black on black embossed was the final choice.
